Day 5: Sleepless Nights


When my head hits the pillow
Very late at night
I just know
My eyes, will put up a fight


I can’t help but wonder
About every little thing
My piece is torn asunder
As my mind is in full swing


As the to-do list starts to grow
Anxiety is the status quo

  1. Soudns like someone was overtired causing the mind to run at 65 mph! That feeling of growing angst is only helped (for me) by getting up and making a list....giving me permission...so to speak...to sleep.

  3. I keep post-its and a mini sharpie in a box next to my bed. Whenever this happens, I write down (like Dr. Ferreri said) what is on my mind so that I can FINALLY drift off to sleep.
